Bookings are only accepted on return of the completed booking form and a 10% Deposit must accompany the booking form unless otherwise agreed. The deposit will be refunded in full if the booking cannot be confirmed by Atholl Adventures.When bookings are accepted the deposit is thereafter non-refundable. Atholl Adventures reserve the right to make exceptions to the above where instances dictate. Discounts on group bookings are available dependant on group size and activities selected.
Where no other terms have been specifically agreed in writing payment shall be due in full (cash or certified cheque) on the day of the event. Any sums not paid by the customer by the due date shall bear interest of three percent per annum above the National Westminster Bank Plc base lending rate per annum or part thereof from the due date to the date when payment received. The time of payment shall be the essence of the contract.
The customer may cancel the event up to 28 days before the date of the event with no charges levelled except the 10% deposit. All cancellations must be notified in writing and signed by the person who originally made the booking, they are accepted as of the date received by Atholl Adventures. Any cancellation received after the 28 day period will carry charges to cover any costs incurred by Atholl Adventures but not exceeding 50% of the full cost of the activities booked. Atholl Adventures reserve the right to cancel any activity on the day of the event if weather conditions put the participants into danger. The Company's decision is final. Alternate activities may be offered where possible or a refund given.
The customer will supply Atholl Adventures with fixed numbers of participants no later than 28 days before the date of the event. Any reduction after that date will require a 25% cost of the numbers reduced provided that the minimum numbers required are maintained. Any increase in participating numbers will only be accepted by agreement and will be at an additional basic per person cost.
The Company will provide all equipment required to participate in the chosen activities. The Company does not take responsibility for providing suitable clothing to participate in the activities and takes no responsibility for loss or damage to personal effects or clothing. Any equipment damaged by a participant in circumstances where instruction has not been followed will be charged to the person responsible.
The Company will provide all instruction, and insurance for those persons participating in activities. Atholl Adventures reserve the right to decline individual participants on the day of the activities if they are not in a fit condition to undertake the activities chosen. All participants must be made aware by the person booking the activities that outdoor activities carry an element of risk. Atholl Adventures have tried to minimise the risks involved to participants but participants will only be accepted on the understanding that they are aware of these risks and wish to participate of their own free will.
